“Travelers Meet” is organised by Madras Photo bloggers at Urban Desi House, Chennai on May 6th , 2017 with the support of “Ziess India”. We invite travel photographers/ travel bloggers for this event for an interaction with top travel bloggers and photographers about careers in travel photography, potential of traveling and writing as profession. This platform will be eye opener for amateur travel photographers and bloggers.
About the Speakers
Shrinidhi Hande is a full time IT professional and a passionate traveller and blogger. He has been blogging since 2006 and has worked with several travel, hospitality brands and Tourism Boards. He has explored 23 countries till date and is known among his readers for critical reviews and valuable tips. Shrinidhi won Best Urban Chennai Blogger award in 2015 and is listed in multiple top blogger sites. He has been able to manage his full time job and travel blogging and hopes to inspire people to travel more, without necessarily spending insane amounts of money or having to quit their jobs.
He owns his startup “Kolkata Bloggers” which has in the last one year worked with the government of West Bengal, International Kolkata Book Fair, NASSCOM Product Conclave, CII Travel East, Facebook, The Times of India, Kolkata Literature Festivals, Bangla Sahitya Utsav, Hindi Sahitya Utsav to name a few. He personally photo-blogs at www.anirbansaha.com and has covered travel and culture in Bengal and the North-East India.
Srivatsan Sankaran is an ardent travel and photo blogger by passion. A self-taught photographer, he mastered the nuances of photography through dedication and an unswerving attitude towards learning in life. His pictures evidently speak of the very relationship between Mother Nature and people who nurture her. He believes that the best possible way to explore and experience a certain location is through blending into the indigenous culture, heritage and lifestyles.
He has numerous accolades accredited to his name. He has won ‘Shoot the Frame Award’ in 2012 and was also one of the ‘Top 10 Tamron Winners’ in 2013. His travelogues have been published in more than 20 magazines including National Geographic Traveler (website). He is also the founder of Madras Photo Bloggers and the co-founder of Beaumoments (a wedding photography brand).
Priya, better known as castlemountains is a travel and documentary photographer from Chennai. She has high fascinations towards culture, traditions and ethnicity of India and one can see them reflecting in her photos. She is one of the few daring female travel photographers in India who travels alone overcoming all the risks and challenges she faces in every trip. She loves to travel to the offbeat unexplored areas of the country looking for extraordinary stories and stands as a great inspiration for the budding female photographers. She has won lots of photography awards including few international awards. Her travel stories and works have been featured in in different magazines, newspapers and Tv’s more than 30 times, in 5 different languages.
